Here is some more work for you, but I'll volunteer to help.
I would like to suggest that we(you) put together a selection of these shots and set up a "Trucks Off 129" petition signing event one weekend day this summer. We could then send both the petition and the photos to the NC and TN Highway Departments. Maybe then we could finally get some real signs warning these guys to chose an alternate route before they were committed to the Dragon.
There is a nice selection of semi shots in the "Dragon"/"Trucks on the Dragon" section of Tail of the Dragon.com
I wouldn't want a petition where we are shooting...too many people getting in the way plus it's usually dangerous pulling in and out where we are. Maybe someone could set up at the Overlook and get everyone to sign though...and of course the stores at the other end.
I'm all for the petition idea - I'll be happy to sign...
However, you may want to do it online and advertise at your site. PetitionOnline.com provides free online hosting of public petitions for responsible public advocacy.
