I don't think I would be enjoying the show. I like to back it off a bit when approaching and passing cyclists, because I know how it feels to have somebody blast around me on my road bike. Chances are you're not impressing the cyclists.
Most of the big Sport Touring bikes still give that sport bike feel and can handle big people.
My good old CBR 1100 XX can handle your height and 300lbs if needed.
Not as nimble as a 600cc but you can ride a long way on any of them and still have lots of fun.
Yeah some bikes suit taller guys better. The first bike that comes to my mind is the Yamaha FZ1. It's pretty tall, and the bars are upright, so you'd probably be comfortable on it.
I'm 6'6". I had a 600 for many years. I was big for the bike but it sure was fun. Now I have an 06 GSXR 1000, it's taller and bigger and I seem to fit it a little better. I don't know or care if I look big because that is one awsome ride. I think I fit the bike and it's pretty comfy. Have fun and ride safe
Finding a bike to fit isn't that hard, finding gear to fit is the challenge. I'm 6'6", 180 lbs. To get the length I need I would have to have a 44' waist. Mine is 32. Big diference in size. If anyone knows where I can find something that would fit, I would be really greatfull. Good luck to your friend in finding his next obsession. Have fun and be safe.
You might try some custom leathers, like Syed (cheap) or Z Custom. (expensive) You could also have Barnacle Bill up in Kentucky adjust the waist of your current leathers.
Thanks Darryl, I checked out there web sites and that looks to be the most promising so far. I'll know more tomm. BTW, Love the work you guys and gals do.
