December 7, 2005 Update

If you are looking for your photos, be sure to check out our store here. Anything ordered before December 15th should make it in time for Christmas.

For our first week of the Photoshop contest we got some pretty creative entries. That's what I love about this stuff, you never know what people will think up. A couple of entries didn't make it through, and they were good, so ya'll be sure to save the files in a common format and email them if possible.

Here is a FREE Image Editing program similar to Photoshop for those who may need it:

Paint.NET(submitted by Josh Price)

A few tips for those who may have access to Photoshop but aren't sure how to use it:

To cut a section of one photo out, and paste into another, just use the "Lasso" or the "Magnetic Lasso" tool to draw a line around the part you want to cut out. Then copy and paste that onto the image you want to place it on. Use Edit/Free Transform to resize the new piece as needed, and finally use a little "Blur" brush around the edge of the new piece to make it blend with the background. When you're happy, "Flatten Image" and save it as a JPEG file. That is a quick dirty for doing very basic Photoshops. There are endless possibilities with the other tools of the program. Check out the Photoshops on Fark.com sometime for ideas/inspiration.
