We had a couple of semis come through. Thanks for escorting! (now how come I've never seen a single cruiser escort a semi?)

Hehe...I was doing about the same, just pickin'. Thought maybe it had something to do with the heat build-up, we have to watch it on the sportbikes that they don't overhead...keep the gears high and the revs low. I think those air-cooled V-twins stay pretty cool in "parade" situations, but I imagine they will bake your thighs.
No proof necessary, just never heard of or seen one myself. Many thanks for escorting and looking out for the rest of us!
Well I guess you can do the universal trucker horn signal. (pulling down on the string in the top of the cab)
I usually just point at the opposite side of the road, motioning for oncomming traffic to pull over. If you just tell people to slow down, they'll stop right in the middle of the road, and that doesn't really help things. The truck usually needs that space to get by, so everything gets jammed up. You just need to pull over or off the road if possible if a semi is approaching.
