Big difference, I have two wheels, they have 4. My bike weighs about 650 lbs. dry. Gravel and cruisers don't mix. I expect you wouldn't know that since you are on a mighty sport bike and yield to no one.

Being an ex-marine, I would expect you to have both better discipline and manners - or is it you use that as an excuse to bully others?

Give it a rest, Pontius Pilate, you will not change my mind as to whether it is good judgment to pull off a road into soft shoulder or gravel.

There a zillion cruiser riders who will agree that it is a bad idea.

Unless you own the road (not perceptually) - you have no right to tell me where I should or shouldn't be...

You're giving your riding group a bad name - move on with your life and stop harassing folks who don't agree with your opinion...

Screw the happy song; I am just happy that people are back on the Byteman kick. This is good entertainment.

I also ride a cruiser, not nearly at the speed limit but occasionally I get passed or I have to pull off and wait for the Geezerglydes to get far enough ahead so I can ride at my pace. Those pull offs are not soft nor are they dangerous, just another one of the many excuses used so you can be an ass.

the store at the Gap is now selling bumper stickers that read..."HONK IF YOU'RE STUCK BEHIND BYTEMAN"

Well, Ok - but I would like to have a 10% cut on sales... ([8^P

To Byteman
Look all you need to do is move over... If you do not feel safe pulling off the road then just move to the right and wave the bikes by.. WOW that sounds to easy doesn't it. But I find it kind of hard that you have issues with the gravel.. Hell I have a long ass grsvel drive from the main road to my house. and I have no issues riding the bike down it even do about 30 mph on it.. OH and Yes my bike is 659 DRY and Yes it is a cruiser. So maybe you either need to learn to ride or maybe just quit riding the dragon if you can not be conideret of other bikes.. Looks like you are on a Yamma HAmmer RIght?? must be something with them bikes because every time I get behind one (cruiser) while on the Dragon all they do is slow me down and do not want to let anyone pass...

I ride a 600+ lbs Kingpin cruiser, and while gravel can be a bit interesting I don't think it's that big of a deal. You just need a lighter touch.

If you don't feel safe pulling over at a higher speed, then slow down to a speed you do feel comfortable with. I imagine people would be just fine waiting for you to slow down and pull over slowley rather then block their way for the rest of the run.
