Drove the GT all the way from Oregon? That must have been an interesting journey. How's it do in the McDonalds drive-thru?

I was told that Oregon has no state sales tax on auto purchases, so a lot of people go there to buy their supercars. What would tax be on $440,000?

What I wonder is how was it being driven?
Porsche used to have some great driving schools for PCA members.
Maybe Nissan needs to do the same.
Seriouly, was it pushed at all, or just a Sunday Drive.
I want one when I grow up. Or maybe Lori will loan me hers!
And Anita says I will never grow up.

Pork Rind:
The car has Oregon plates. There are all sorts of interesting ways to get out of paying the taxes if you're of a mind to do so, I guess. Buy it in Oregon, register it in Oregon, and then you don't owe the tax, no matter where you actually reside.

Mongoose:
$30k would buy a lot of sticky tires, oil, gas, and track time. All required accessories for that car. ;)

I also want to know if they just took a Sunday cruise through, or did he rail it like it should have been driven?

What a shame. What is it with bringing your supercar or sportscar to the Gap and cruising through? There are better spots to cruise, but where else can you get the chance to see how well (a) your car can handle the twisties, or (b) how well you can drive it?

Porsche/Ferrari/McLaren/etc. should stipulate in the paperwork when you buy one of their cars that you must have adequate driver training, and put XXX miles per year on the track or other performance driving. No trailer/garage queens!
