Weekend Update - July 8-10, 2005

Quick and dirty. (just the way you like it) It's 5am and I just finished sorting photos and updating the site here. Shots are uploading to Tha Store right now.

Last weekend was really sweet weather-wise thanks to that tropical storm sucking all of the weather out with it. Nothing major Friday and Saturday, just a couple of good days for riding/driving. Sunday we were invited to the Carolina GP Jam at Kershaw, SC to shoot a trackday and watch the races live. I won't go into spoilers about the GP race in case there is still someone out there who hasn't watched their recording of it yet, but let's just say it was a little uneventful. I would have been a bit disappointed had I not been viewing it with about 200 of my riding peers. There is something about a crowd that can really get you pumped, and it was cool cheering along with everyone watching the race.

This weekend there are a few groups scheduled to be in the area according to the TotD calendar, and this is the weekend that NCHP is rumored to begin their increased enforcement between Fontana Dam, the TN/NC state line, and Tapoco Lodge, so ya'll take it easy on the NC side. They really don't want to write any tickets, but are being forced to step up patrols in the area after a couple of nasty wrecks recently on the NC side.
