"Dick Head" is not spelled "Doofus".
The thing that doesn't seem to register with some people is that stuff like this is the reason things are getting bad at the Gap. You cause accidents, it brings the cops and bad publicity. Your actions have consequences that we all have to deal with long after you are gone.
And yes Wayne there are a bunch of us that do not under any circumstances cross the double yellow. We ride/drive the road for the curves. If we wanted to drive a straight line we would go to FL and ride/drive. Idiot
If you are a business man/woman that is a good point. I am a rider and live 45 minutes from the overlook. As far as I am concerned the tourists can stay home. As a matter of fact, I would trade this site and all the other busined.ses in that area for a life taken by a moron on the wrong side of the road.

That's pretty much why I/we try to give something back...be it Lane Crossing Kills signs, picking on dangerous riding/driving, or working with the authorities behind the scenes to encourage everyone to treat the enthusiasts with respect. I know that most locals don't care for the increased tourism, but I hope you also realize that this was inevitable, and SOMEONE was going to do what we do. It could be worse. ;)
Hey I'm totally with ya, swngr. God knows we've called out our fair share of lane crossers on motorcycles. Lane crossing motorcycles cause car/truck drivers to take evasive action, kicking up gravel and causing accidents that we all have to deal with. But let's be realistic, a full-size pickup completely in the wrong lane is a little more of a hazard than some 500 pound sportbike in the wrong lane.
