Cars SUCK!

Oh yea well u suck

No cars dont suck. Cars that will not pull off and let you pass, suck! Besides cars have just as much right on that road as we do.

I hate stubborn non-drivers, all of you all can kiss my ass!!!

When thay don't pull off, is how people get hurt.

Bikes come from all over the United States to ride, not to follow a car running 20 m.p.h. He can follow cars at home. So the biker gets mad after following the car for 8 out of the 11 miles, and does not think and passes in a bad spot, and hits someone thats is minding his on business doing everything right, that just happend to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. All because 1 jack ass non-driving S.O.B. is to fucking stubborn to slow down and pull to the right a little bit and motion the faster vehicle around!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, when someone's behind you, they're faster, so pull over. That being said, I've met few bike riders that can hang with a well driven S2000 at the gap. Not to say that the bikes can't, but we've got a lot of rubber advantage! :)

As a western North Carolina native and recent Dragon visitor this seems like a good place to state the obvious.

The Gap is a wonderful road BUT there are hundreds of roads nearly as nice all over the mountains. I'm not sure I'll ever visit the Dragon again because there are just too many people there. Especially those driving the tan and brown vehicles.

I don't know about this cars sucks thing. As one of the drivers stuck behind that sport bike, I think he was behind one of the many cruisers that were there that weekend. However, there are some good S2000 drivers out there that can give most if not all of the sport bikes a run for there money on the dragon. Just remember that bikes share the road with car as well.

OK, it's unanimous... CRUISERS suck! ;-) I figured there was something else just out of the frame that was slowing the sportbike down.

Yes, as Capt. Obvious stated, if someone's on your tail - regardless of what kind of vehicle they're piloting, PULL OVER and let them by. EVERYONE will be much happier and SAFER for your "trouble". Please?

Trouble??

No trouble!!! I live about 30 min from the gap, and I ride it every weekend on my Gixxer. And about 1 day a thru the week I go to Maryville in my Honda Accord. It is know trouble at all to pull off the side of the road.

Hell, I burn it up for a sedan (14 miles -n- 18 min. and I stay on my side of the road, I check my mirrors constantly. If I even see anything coming I know they are faster becouse they wasant in mirror a second ago so I go ahead and pull off. I enjoy pulling off for a faster vehicle,I get to see a rider bust a knee or a bad ass car, not to mention it makes the rider or driver have a pleasant ride or drive. If he wanted to see the ass end of a Accord he can go to the Honda delership!!!

Thanks for the compliment "I've met few bike riders that can hang with a well driven S2000 at the gap". It is tough but a few of us bicyclist can really make good time through the Gap!

Thanks, anonymous for the re-type correction. If correction is spelled wrong please dont tell me. My spelling and grammer is a bit rusty.

From the driver in the black S2k..

yeap, we ended up following him all the way down to the lake...but it was a car, van, and truck in front of the bike...not biker's fault, the biker pulled over to the right at Foothill for me...

"I've met few bike riders that can hang with a well driven S2000 at the gap"

I havent come across a car yet that can hang with me on the gap. I was there during the S2000 rally last year, and there were even a few well driven NSX's and they were toast after 5 turns. Not to say that guys cant drive, because I've seen some good ones. But someone that can really rail through the gap on a bike will leave just about every "good" car driver in the dust.

"I havent come across a car yet that can hang with me on the gap."

I belive that; I havent had but one car hang with me and that was Blackbird, and I have just been riding for a few months.

Your are comparing every day drivers with pretty much a race bike.

Take Mario Andretti in a Indy car would smoke Matt Miladin on his Gixxer 1000. That is if the Indy car could make it with out HI Centering.
