You might think I am a dumbass for believing him but he said that the set cost $500,000.00 thats right a half of a million just for the tires.

yea, your a dumbass! no offence.... but no way! Look there is a word written on the inside of the hub..... can you see it? it sais "GULLIBLE". I dont believe everything i hear for good reason.

He said that the reason it costs so much is they are hand made and the only set like it in the world.

Why would he lie? Or he might a dumb ass that is full of shit.

And your are right I am gullible,
but I cant help it.

Probably just a misunderstanding about what was being discussed.

Lori was told by Jody (the event organizer who was cozy with Amen Motorcycles and actually paid them to be there) that the hubless wheels costed that much, but the tires were not much. I would like to see the inner design of those hubless wheels though, since they contain the drive and braking mechanisms.

No I asked the guy sitting right behind the bike and he said "$500,000.00." Then I said "for the bike?" he said "no just the tires" then I said" front and rear" he said "yes"......

So I dont know just making conversation.

This guy was the main dude. (He was the one that rode their bike in the the parade that morn.)

I beleive he would know what the hell is going on! Unless he is a bullshitter!!!!!!!!!

Wheels/tires... a lot of people confuse the two, and it happens quite often in casual conversation. No way the rubber cost $500,000, but it is plausible that they have $500k invested in the design and production of those wheels.

Ok guys Im killing this one.

Those are standard Avon AM series "Monster" Tires. They retail for 300 bucks. End of story. Wheels R&D might= $500,000 not Tires. STFU!

Hello, i'm jody-- what was really discussed was the total cost of a bike being built on tv. the actual cost of the bike is approx.80 to 125 k -- tv productions and travel, filming and etc. would make a bike cost be between 400 to 500 thousand by the time productions were complete. hope that clears the air. see ya;ll next year.

I don't want to make a guess about how much the tires or wheels cost. I don't know anything about motorcycles other than the pictures are fantastic. I have never even ridden on a motorcycle so I can not speak about them.

Great pictures!
