That's a blast from the past. They were sharp and it was very easy to cut yourself.
Yep. I was a kid though. I remember the juice cans in the early 80's that had them too. Cans only had 2-3 swallows.
And the drink cans that weren't aluminum.
Didn't they stop those because President Reagan almost choked on one?
It's missing the two notches so that you could break off the pull ring and use the tab to flick it.
Stepped on a pop top
Cut my heel
Had to ride a cruiser back home
How about the guys that cracked their beer open and then dropped the pull-tab into said can.
Then, they would forget and choke on it, sometimes to death!
I liked the Coors two button tops that you pressed in. One for pressure release, one for drinking, anyone ?
Mark,
Have some fond memories of those things. Was in an Air Force mobile unit in the 70's. Those things fit really nice over the re-bar they used for tent stakes on one deployment. Base commander asked everyone to put their coors cans over the re-bar for saftey. Needless to say we complied as quick as we could!
Well Ray it was an order, nice duty.
Commander says; I see uncovered re-bar, start drinking soldiers !
