Spyder rally was last week, so here's a few highlight shots.

Now be sure and say a lot of bad things about their choice of vehicle because it's different from yours. That's so hipster cool these days.

Hey, I think the Spyder is awesome. If for some reason I couldn't ride a 2 wheeler any longer I'd be on one. They're a hell of a lot better than an old man trike and that v-twin sound good with a pipe on it.

Marco:
I have said the exact same thing.

The new touring model has twice the storage of a :Goldwing:

Still leans the wrong way.

Kudos Darryl. I am also getting a little tired at the crap.

I would ride one too if I couldn't ride a two wheeler, but it sure as h*** wouldn't be pink!

I don't much about these, do they handle well?

I was here on my Spyder on this day riding with this group.

Great Machine!

Handles Excellent!

I've always ridden 2 wheels until now. I've got an M109 in the garage that I dearly love but it's been sitting for about 2 years. Just can't get off the Spyder.

I ride the Spyder because I love it! Not because I can't ride 2 wheels anymore.

Got to get that 109 out and ride it some though.

I think the pink looks good but not as good as the flat black and orange one found elsewhere on the front page,

No problems here with the 3 wheel variety, Just like all groups you have a few that are just way out of there element in the Mtns, Referring to the rider not the bike. Saw more than my share of them Last Sunday almost had one blow a corner wide in front of me. How do you blow a corner in one of those anyway........

Like This?

It appears the Spyder receives back-hand compliments at the *expense* of "old man trikes", no?

Dan, who I take rides a Spyder, didn't seem to jump to the defense of "old men trikes"? The derogatory "old men trikes" comments must bother him too, right?

I wave to all riders (if I like/dislike their rides doesn't matter) from Ariel to Zundapp. That includes scooters, Harley-Davidsons, Spyders, Trikes with 2 rear-wheels, etc.

I say this not to piss people off, rather to show not liking certain kinds of 2 and 3 wheel vehicles is simply human rider nature.

Can Am is preparing to release a model that leans like a regular two wheeler. I've called these "snowmobiles with wheels" because that's basically what they are...not because I don't like them.

Here is the coolest thing since three-wheelers: http://www.tremoto.com/
I am sure if this hits the market the Spyders will look old.

Dan said...

The tremoto is neat. If you watch the videos though you'll see why it may never out corner a spyder. It just takes too much energy and time to get it leaned over the opposite way. Some patents out there for leaning reverse trike address that by adding hydraulics to the leaning mechanism... Now that would be interesting.
