OK. Where can I get one of them trikes?
Totaly rad dude. Can not believe you did not use protection. shame shame lol
Way COOL!! If I'd only known...
dr: They're pretty hard to come by. The one Lori is on is a Trek Mod, the same kind Travis Pastrana back-flipped. They stopped making them a year or so ago, but you MIGHT find some leftovers at Trek bicycle dealers. They go for about $180 new, and have bearings in all 3 wheels, but the front wheel is plastic (rubber inflated tire though) so the brakes don't really work well. Plus the rear wheels are blow-molded plastic, so they don't last long.
The orange one we got from Mad Dog Cycles just a couple of weeks ago. It cost $250 and doesn't have bearings in the back and the rear axle is kinda wimpy...bends easy. The rest of the trike is awesome though, and it has stellar brakes. Wouldn't really recommend it for the high cost, but there's not much else out there...definitely nothing better.
Finally, the black/white one with white spokes in the front is a hacked up boy's bicycle. You just cut away the top of the frame, make and axle to go across the back, seat and rear wheels and you've got a drift trike. Easier said than done though...finding wheels is tough. Still, it's the cheap route, and it works just as good or better than the other in many aspects. No pedals though.
Hope that helps some. There are drift forums out there with more info too.
