Electric door openers...they (the doors) pop open when he hits the remote...cool '37 Ford...love the stance...love the car.
Or they pop open when the owner hides the remote keychain in his pocket and says the magic word "Open" while pressing the button, explaining to everyone around that it is coded to only work on the owner's voice command, right dad? ;) (He owned a 34 Chevy streetrod with remote power windows and did just that when people asked how you got in.)
Don Hyatt (Dad's cousin) had one of these 37's in Cabriolet form didn't he? That was one of the sweetest 'rods I ever saw. You guys had the best cars.
All is fine until the battery dies.
....till the battery dies OR someone (ME) locks "both" remotes up in the car with windows up!!! Best I remember, we had to jack the car up because it sat so low and crawl under it and reach up through the floorboard and get the keys from the ignition.....after a lot of cussing from you know who!!!
I think he eventually installed a hidden mechanical latch release for the trunk, that would allow a person to (painfully) crawl in from the back and unlock the doors if needed. Ah the memories!
