They were on their way to Bald River Falls just off the Cherohala Skyway, where he was going to propose to her, when they ran out of gas on 129. I stopped to check on them and got the story, (someone was already gone to get gas) so I made him re-enact what I had missed just minutes earlier. Congrats you two!

Cool, looks like they got a kid already !
ReplyDeletecongradulations, assuming she said yes...
ReplyDeleteWill you be my passenger for life?
ReplyDeleteI do.
She did say yes and I'm so gald she did..
ReplyDeleteCongrats!! Best wishes!!
ReplyDeleteIsn't there a gas station at both ends and the middle of the dragon? Tallassee, Tapoco, and Deal Gap?
ReplyDeleteMartvol: As I understand it, the dog "box" was blocking his view of the gauge until it was too late.
ReplyDeleteAwesome Jeffro! That would have been a long walk back for you if she'd said no! lol
ReplyDeleteThe dog tank bag was blocking the view of the fuel light and most of the time I get about 160 miles on the bike before the fuel light comes on. that still gives me about 3/4 of a gallon left in the tank. but the bike ran out of gas at 121 miles. I knew I would need gas sooner then normal but not that soon.. From now on I will know to look more often when running it hard.
ReplyDeleteRunning out of gas usually sucks, but after just getting a yes from the love of your life, who cares?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, good sir!
