This is not the way you want to make the highlights.

We hope the majority of you folks appreciate the risk we take, and the stress it causes us to do this. People, and often whole groups of people, get angry with US because we capture them endangering others. We've been threatened with legal action and bodily harm, and we lose their potential business as a result. The hope is that most enthusiasts see we are putting our necks out there for your safety and enjoyment, and you'll return the favor by giving us your business.

It's OK, the driver is from Kentucky and knows these roads. A**HAT.
Keep up the good work Killboy. You probably don't miss their business.

F U C K 'EM. They get their piss poor driving posted out there for everyone to see. THEY STILL SUCK and there is proof out there of reckless and pre meditated acts on their part. "If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck"...
Hopefully someone teaches them a lesson before they kill someone. If it is this blog, so be it.

So far worst display of driving on this page! So now you can show your friends how shitty of a driver you are, sweet deal.

BTW KB I have to say that your doing the right thing by putting these pictures up. If there wasn't someone pointing out how this incredibly dangerous and stupid type of driving could get someone killed their may be more accidents on the dragon.

K03gsxr750 said...

BTW To the driver of the Subie, I am sure KB put the picture below this one to remind you that everyone on this road is part of a family. And that your selfish and learners permit level driving could have destroyed one.

I hope you think long and hard before you turn the key again.

My personal motto to drivers like this one.....

"If you can't drive it....don't buy it."

One of these days you're going to catch someone getting run off the road or even hit. When that happens all the hassle will have been worth it.

The saddest thing is (and everyone remember this when it happens to you), when you're run off the road with no contact, it's your own problem. Unless you're lucky (?) enough to have it happen in front of killboy's evidence locker, you're actually better off hitting the car than running off the road and messing your bike up.

Sometimes when I see the pictures of the horrible driving I think to myself "what the hell is this douche thinking?".

Its sad when people take very capable and awesome cars and just throw them in the other lane like that. If you want to hit something head on that bad then why don't you just drive it straight into a brick wall?? At least then you will only be hurting yourself.

I do want to thank you KB for all of your time that you spend on the gap not only taking pictures but also for going the extra mile to keep all of us safe.

Thanks for pointing out these a$$hats KB...

Everytime a Scoob makes your hall of shame, I make sure to post it up on NASIOC for all to see...

KB,
Earlier you said TDOT would be reading the blog for their thanks. Do you think its possible to get th state police, or local police to "read" your pictures. If they can give tickets at a red by camera, why can't they give left of center by camera?

Killboy Rocks :-) Best pictures on the Gap!

damn subie drivers.

just wanted to post up and make sure you know that the first time me and my friends went to the gap, we knew about the stay in your lane thing because of coming on here and looking at your updates.

down here in florida where we have to curves, we get lazy a lot and just hang i tire and don't think anything about it. so we may or may not have giving cutting the corners a 2nd thought up there... atleast until something bad happened. so being reminded by your pics was a very good thing

so no matter what they say, what your doing has worked for atleast 4 of us.

keep on the good work.

Thank you KIllboy. If only to remind us to keep some in reserve.

Rethought my earlier comment about the police looking at KB's pics. That would kill the bottom of the page. I like the bottom of the page.

KB, thanks for all you do to make sure the rest of us have a fun, safe place to play.
John, I know you are trying to be nice, but sorry I have to call you on this. “we knew about the stay in your lane thing because of coming on here” What about those yellow lines in the middle of the road? WTF did you think those were for? Curvy road or not, stay in YOUR lane ALL the time.
Finally… This problem is not going to stop until the rest of us start confronting these jackasses and telling them we will not tolerate such actions. The area around the dragon is one of the few places where we as riders have strength in numbers. If we all stand together and say this will not be tolerated they will have no choice but to listen.

Hey - Wake up everyone! I bet most of you blow Red Lights on a daily basis. What ya gunna do about every day drivers that bend or break the rules out on any road? Go chase down everyone you see?
Most of you act as this is Your Private Race Track, Go put on your Cops Lie shirts and have at it...

For what it's worth, the driver of the car emailed and apologized for his actions, doesn't hold it against me for posting up the pic, and said he felt like a total ass. He'll gladly take his tongue-lashing on here and it'll never happen again.

I often feel that, although we do reach people, it's sometimes after-the-fact and may not do much good their first time through. Good to hear that feedback from Florida John.

K03gsxr750 said...

^ Glad to hear! Darryl just goes to show you how much meaning posting those pictures can really have.

Unknown said...

OK so if the dirver's seen it, apologized (not that Killboy is the proper authority for that) and seemingly learned the error of his ways how about you obscure his plate?

Donna Ghost Bear said...

Jamie....nobody's plates are obscured in the 1000s of photos taken.....I want mine seen when we come back up there.....

Jimbozcrazy said...

Well... KB is all the authority that I need, I trust him. Proud of the driver for being man enough to write in and appologize too. I hope he has indeed learned and is a better driver going forward. I remember several moments in my "developmental" driving stages of my youth that changed the way I drive forever. I hope this is one for this driver.

KB, what you and your team do with these pics changes lives, it motivates lives, makes people think and provides entertainment. Keep up the great work. I can't wait each week to see the highlights.

And yes, you get my business every time!
