This is the first we've seen of Knox County this year, and they were just passing through, scrubbing the chicken strips off the tires I assume. Cool sight though!

It looks like to me those boys are gearin' up for some hot pursuit on the Dragon!
the full cages though!! they must be stunters!! lol
Isn't lane sharing illegal in Tennessee?
Can they actually catch anyone on those heaps?! I present A CHALLENGE!
You underestimate this bike grasshoppah. I guarantee they would surprise you. The K1200 is a very nimble/fast bike to be a rolling road sofa. I followed an older gentleman up the Vermont 100 riding one of these bikes last year. I scared the shit outta myself a few times chasing him through some of the fast sweepers.

YEAH, LETS ALL RIDE SIDE BY SIDE!
I think that's illegal. Good job.
From the Tennessee State laws...
55-8-182. Operation of motorcycles on laned roadways. (d) Motorcycles shall not be operated more than two (2) abreast in a single lane.
Guess they are just showing off their formation riding skills
Yeah slik, fletch is right it's an awesome bike. 110hp, 46 degree lean angle (both sides) 0-100 in 10 sec. Quarter in 12.75 at 109. 60 - 0 in 125 ft.
I followed a guy through the Dragon a couple years ago on an RT-P and after the second switchback NB was so far behind the dust had already settled!
those guys were really cool to talk to! wish all cops were that way ;)
may be legal but i think its too close for such a road to be safe. THP should warn them.
Welcome Wagon?
I thought I heard that little tune you hear on Terminator:2 anytime the T1000 shows up.
Damn good looking riding.
actually those are R1200RT-Ps, not a K1200 series model. And those "heaps" will move, at least mine does : )
haha, I was just checking out the specs for these and the pics. Check out the bottom left photo that says "Runs on any fuel" http://www.bmwmotorcycles.com/bikes/popups/photo_gallery.jsp?b=r1200rtp&i=3#
The last time I road CMP, there was a guy riding Intermediate on a BMW 1200. He kicked ass! He took off his luggage, but that bike was still huge! I couldn't believe the way he was moving around the track, passing all but the fastest riders.
