Weekly Update - April 23, 2008
Photos from last week are available in Our Store. This is just the highlights.
Well we finally got some decent weather last weekend so the bikes could get out and enjoy the roads. A few storms Saturday night cooled things off, but the roads dried up pretty quickly with a handful of sportscars out there buzzing around. There were a few accidents, including a semi/S2000 getting tangled at Gravity Cavity Saturday, and a head-on between motorcycles Sunday, one of which had a little boy on the back. Everyone was physically ok though. The LEOs were out keeping an eye on things, with the troopers coming out to work accidents and sticking around for a couple of hours afterwards.
This weekend we'll see a couple of big cruiser rallies - Cherokee Survivor's Rally and the Maggie Valley "Thunder in the Smokies" Spring Rally. Forecast looks iffy for now, with possible rain late Friday and early Saturday, but it's still a long way off as far as forecasting goes. Often these mountains break up storms and they go right around us, but it is a rain forest here afterall.
I guess that's it for now...spent the last 8 hours updating the site, and there are a ton of pics that were very hard to narrow down, so take your time and enjoy each shot!

Killboy,
You are the man, mang! Thanks for all your efforts and skill. As usual your shots are awesome.
Are you going to still do the screen saver update this season?
Mine hasn't changed since this past fall. Looking forward to seeing the highlights everyweek.
Thanks man!

Thank you for your dedication and efforts. Those of us that are out of the area and do not see a time soon to visit, find great satisfaction and joy in being able to vicariously live the experience through these pages.
I hope for you that it continues to be a success.

bmc: I broke the screensaver program and couldn't fix it, sorry! We are working on our own version that will run in Java on Windows and Mac. I'll announce it as soon as it's ready.
Brett: Thank you! Very much appreciated man.
Again, thanks for the great photos! All of us in areas where it is still snowing really apprciate all your efforts....
Thanks for the response. Looking forward to the new one, I must admit that was the coolest screen saver I have had. Right up there with the Matrix screen saver (the falling numbers)
