Weekly Update - September 26, 2007
Mornin! Hope you are all enjoying your summer...or winter if you live in the southern hemisphere. We're in extreme drought conditions over here in western NC, but we have a deep well so while much of the town suffers through mandatory restrictions, we're hosting sprinkler raves and washing cars excessively. (I kid! We're in conservation mode too!)
This week hunting season kicked off over in TN, so you know what that means...lots of hunting dogs wandering the roads and pickup trucks full of hunters looking for hunting dogs wandering the roads. Our little hobbies don't exactly "mesh" well, but let's try to make the best of it and get along with each other here. If you want to do something good for everyone, report any wandering hounds to the nearest hunters...they'll appreciate it, and you may save someone or some dog from a crash.
Other than that, not much to report other than a lot of sketchy riding. Last weekend was busy at times, and rather slow at times, with more TNHP officers on the road than bikes sometimes. Still there were several accidents and a few ambulance rides. No groups listed on the calendar for this weekend, but the weather looks great with highs in the low 80s and clear skies.
Ok, enough talk...on to the highlights!
