Unbelievable! I hope they made it through safely. They need gear, gear and GEAR! Some people have absolutely no f#^king brains!

Let the gear thing go bro, it's eating you alive.

I don't see how girls wouldn't want to gear up, and protect them hot bodies. It just seems stupid, show of your good at the overlook not on the road.

I'm the person on the black RR in front and I thank everyone for there concern. I kicked myself pretty hard after I thought of the concequences. I shouldn't have given an option of not wearing our gear (yes we have jackets, pants and gloves) as the day started out as a calm ride to the Foothills for some pics.My (cargo) is the most precious thing I have and can't live without but that was a brainless move.

What I don't understand is how when people see a chick in a tank top on the back of a cruiser, she's hot, but then people jump all over the hotties on the sportbikes for not wearing gear.

"But the cruisers are less likely to crash" -- Yeah, right.

I'm a gear nazi (you won't see me up there without my leathers, Sidi boots, gloves and helmet), and I don't care what you ride on the front seat of or on the back seat of, just wear some damn gear.

Almost seems like cruisers are more likely to go down than sport bikes. It just tends to be more spectacular when sport bikers go down!

A calm day on the parkway can turn out bad real quick also man, trust me, my worst wreck was on the parkway. A woman parked where she was not supposed to be pulled out in front of me, and I nailed her. Fortunatly I did have my gear on.

A 30 mph ride can go bad just as quick as a high spead one in the curves.

Good onya for seeing the possible consequences, firebladerr. Too few manage to figure it out before they or a loved one lose a square yard of skin. Stay shiny side up and wear the gear anyway. ;)
