...my guess would be YES ACTUALLY based on that front bumper...
Keep posting these pics up. I swear it will have some impact on people that drive like this.
It shows you care about the welfare of your fellow man or woman that might be out for an afternoon ride and have the misfortune of comming around a curve and meeting a front bumper.
Some people just dont have a clue!
Short anecdote.... My dad came down from IL to visit my wife and I last month and we took a run up the Dragon as he's never been before. As we were cruising along in the Miata on the way back to the overlook (not really running hard except for a few of my favorite corners), we got behind a Ford Ranger (not an enthusiast) who was lane crossing horribly. After nearly taking out a harley rider in one corner, they CONTINUED to lane cross up until the picnic tables, where a Saturn who was lane crossing almost ran into the Ranger head-on. The driver of the ranger leaned out his window to cuss the Saturn driver, and then proceeded to lane cross over the lines on that left just down the hill from the picnic tables..... Is EVERYONE in this country so DAMNED DENSE????
From that experience, my dad has decided against bringing his bike down here this summer to ride the dragon w/ us. I can't honestly say I blame him....he has a wife and 2 kids still living at home and a business to run.....but i'm sure a lot of the people who DO run out here have at least as much at stake as him, if not more....and people like this integra driver (and many many others) simply have no respect for anyone besides themselves, and have demonstrated once more they can scare away responsible riders like my father from enjoying such an otherwise great road.
Man this is crazy. It keeps getting worse and worse every year it seems... I mean aren't the law enforcements going to be cracking down on this stuff this year supposedly? All I know it's getting out of hand and ruining it for all the riders/drivers who respect the road that we are lucky to ride/drive on.
Keep em posted, D.

And kids wonder why their insurance rate is so high?
Wal-mart needs to revoke his permit.
I ran the TOD last year as part of the BABE Rally and loved every second of it. (ran it three times even :)
We were instructed in our rally handbook about proper TOD ettiquette so we understood well in advance that lane crossing was an absolute No No. It was quite a surprise to see how many other vehicles lane crossed right in front of us, and I was nearly driven off the road by a lane crossing biker whos passenger angrily shook her fist at me even tho I was well inside my own lane. it really isnt any wonder that there are so many accidents up on that road. I think people should start a fund to raise money to have some street signs made and install them along the route. signs that say "stay in your own lane" and "lane crossing kills" with a picture of a car crashing into a bike. know what I mean?
not sure if I can post an image in here, but I will try.
this is what I am talking about. if some good hearted people went out there and bolted some signs like these along the road... http://www.angrymods.com/projects/gti/Deals_gap/lanecrossing.gif
it might make a difference. ya know? - also, my group was told ahead of time about not lane crossing. while I personally know better, how many of our group may have lane crossed without this prior instruction? if this stopped just one person from driving improperly, it was worth it in my opinion. so this raises the question of what could be done to alert potential tourists of the area of the dangers? How about a voluntary "toll booth" at both ends of the drive where a person would stop each and every vehicle and tell them to stay in there own lanes for the safety of everyone?
since I live way up here in Maine, and will probably never see the dragon again, all I can do is offer my two cents. Maybe that really is all it is worth. I guss that is up to you...
