A rash of accidents all at once Sunday brought out the EMTs and LEOs. Worst I heard of was a broken leg.

In the ambulance drivers defense, those things have huge blind spots and they're used to folks getting out of their way.
The operative point being they "stopped to chat". Why would 2 meat wagons stop in the middle of 129 to chat? Should have called 911 to report an act of terminal stupidity...BTW, in my home town EMT kills at least 2 pedestrians a year by sideswiping them with their mirrors...
