Serious question... Please tell me why a rider might prefer one of these supermotos versus a more traditional sportbike?
For some, they are more fun to ride because they are so lightweight. I have fun on the 510 whether I'm going all-out, or just taking it easy, kinda dorking around. On the sportbike, I wasn't having any fun unless it was wide open.
They also "crash better" and don't get so messed up from a minor low-sides.
Drawbacks are generally higher maintenance, smaller fuel range, lack of storage, and they're not very comfortable on longer trips.
