He was being pursued by the Buick in the background, and not really gaining any ground. He also blew the right-hander in the background, running wide into the oncomming lane. Like Keith once said, "I only saw him drive through 2 turns and he almost crashed twice."
You know, I think 1157 has an excellent idea. I think I may adopt this philosophy.
Why?
Why do some folks do this?
Are they stupid?
Maybe an incompetent driver that can't driver quick AND stay in his lane?
Maybe just a buttcake who cares more about his driving "thrill" than the risk he is posing: i.e. killing someone.
Last time I was there, I had the closest call of my life. I rounded a turn to see an old beater pickup hauling a load of smashed cars on a trailer. He was 100% in my lane. I passed him on my white line without about 2 feet between me and his trailer.
One day something really bad is going to happen because of idiots like this guy.

You want to meet them head on in a turn while your are driving in HIS lane?
You want to kill some guy's kid?
No?
Then how about YOU DRIVE IN YOUR OWN FREAKIN' LANE !!!
or get a old Buick and putt down to the Dollar General store where you are less likely to kill somebody.

I like the ideas expressed by 1157 and ice750. I'm going to use my horn on the idiots and help killboy to police the Gap. I urge all of you who want this great road to remain ours to use to join with us. Ride responsibly and help others to do the same!
