Busy weekend last, and the next couple will be as well. The S2000 car group will be here this weekend about 250 strong, along with a few other car and motorcycle groups.
Looks like they will begin repaving the 4 mile section of rough pavement between the state line and Tapoco Lodge soon...the markings are on the road and the construction signs are up. According to Graham Co. commissioner Dirk Cody, (owner of Tapoco Lodge) first they will patch it in sections, then wait a while before laying down new blacktop, just like they did with 129 between Tapoco Lodge and Robbinsville.
I'd also like to say thanks to all of the kayakers who stopped by to say thanks and they enjoyed our work. Deals Gap still takes a priority, but we usually have enough resources to get down there and shoot the paddlers also, and we enjoy doing it.
Ok, on to the highlights!
