Such a sad site. Luckily everyone was ok. Oddly the Porsche was not involved with the FJR...they were two seperate incidents in the same curve at nearly the same time. The FJR ran wide and hit a Toyota Titan head-on. No injuries.

It's a common thing when you're driving or riding a bike. Basically, you wiil go where you are looking. We're taught all the time at track days to look where you want to go ALWAYS. It's a sub-conscious phenomenon but well-known. I've seen it happen in my car, my friends hitting giant rocks head on with their mountain bikes, etc.

Just like DevRock said... you look there, you go there. Most often happens when a rider is "surprised" or realizes there's a danger ahead. The rider focuses on the danger and smacks right into it.

My poor bald head is peeling from standing out there managing traffic for the accidents on Sunday. :(

smthng: Your help is greatly appreciated man. (at least I hope you're a man...not too often we see a bald woman ;) I went down to the next curve to put up some flags and kinda motion for folks to slow down.

Some Windex and a paper towel on the Toyota Titan should remove all traces of the collision.
