I think he said she was 15...not quite old enough to drive. Sorry Trav. ;)

THANKS DARRYL FOR YOUR SUPPORT ON THIS ONE BECAUSE SHE IS ONLY 13.

THANKS JAY

My bad, yall was going to fast could not tell!!

I was just looking for someone to ride with!!!

Anonymous said...

"she is only 13" I thought I saw her make a lap by herself or was that someone else. It was a female on that Metropolitan riding with the 50cc Aprilia in tow. Please say it wasn't her by herself.

On another note we have a couple Metropolitans and I always though it would be fun to run them on the Dragon but I can't see not riding the CBR......

I'm the rider of the Metro, and yes I'm 13. My awesome brother, Jay, was following me on the Aprilia. In a few years I'll be on a sport bike! Can't wait!

Anonymous said...

Jay, nice lean on that thing! You make it look pretty damn fun!

Anonymous said...

actually, Earl Smalls, Jay is an excellent rider...........on anything. what makes you think he's a loser? because he's wearing so much gear on a scooter?

No offense but I don't think a 13 year old needs to be riding by themself on the Dragon. It is a public highway. I congradulate you on being able to ride but until you get a drivers license I dont think the streets are the place to be. I have two Metropolitans in my shop and a 14 year old son. I would never dream of allowing him to ride by himself on a public road even though he is capable. Please forgive me if I am understanding this wrong but the Dragon is not private property. Do TN/NC permit this?

Doing wheelies on the gap.
exceding 30 mph on the gap.
crossing the yellow on the gap.
Are these legal in TN/NC?
Ride on little sister, we are all outlaws, some get caught some dont.

you all are just mad because she faster then all of you- ride on sister

Anonymous said...

Your right. Next time I'll bring a go cart, a riding mower, and a little red wagon for a sixth grade field trip. What better place to teach someone to ride/drive? Better go for now. Think I'll go teach my kids to drive on the Dragon. Meet you on the yellow line........

"My five year old is faster than you!" Is this the intelligent banter we should post? Scary...

What parents condone a 13 year old driving the Dragon? Maybe this goes on a lot in the back woods of TN or NC but to the rest of us it sounds insane.

Anonymous said...

I dont know about TN but NC if it has less that 50cc and does not go over 35 m.p.h. you do not have to have licence, tag or ins.

I don't what the top speed of that beast is but I would say Jay could spank some people's asses thru the gap on it.

Anonymous said...

I have two. They will run about 38 on the flat and over 40 on a good downhill....

I guess I stand corrected. If the law states under 50cc and 35 mph any age person can drive on the road without a license, insurance, or a tag then my apologies. I have to say I don't agree with it but to each their own.

Legal go-cart races on the Dragon? This could be fun....

Anonymous said...

If her parents permited her to ride then who cares she is one of my closest friends and i know her parents pretty well and they woukd never allow her to do anything they thought wasnt safe so if they foud it appropriate than I dont see any problems with it!

Anonymous said...

I say go for it... heck the scooter is probably more fun than my hayabusa on the dragon ;-)

The only thing I'd be worried about is some choad crossing the line or riding up the rear end of it with an inexperienced rider driving. Sounds like you guys had that covered with the experienced rider tagging along with her.

Everyone has their own opinion. Personally I don't think its wise for a 13 year old to be driving on the road, much less the Dragon. Saying its legal, I have my doubts.

It's just a fricken scooter! Ride on girl; don't live life scared like some of the pants-shitters on here or you won't have any fun. See ya out there.

HAVE FUN AND RIDE ON

She could be 10 and drive a 4 ton tractor that could take cars out and that would be legal. Looks like she has adequate supervision, wasn't putting anyone at risk, so WTF? Have some damn fun with it. Not like it is near the problem of we all see where people don't give a crap about the yellow line until they really screw up, and we have all seen more then enough pictures of that to know who is the safety risk, and it ain't this little scooter.

That Jay fella is one sexy bitch...makes me wanna do the lawn mower dance in the nude for him..;)

Got to love those back woods laws. ; )

speakin of go-karts, hey killboy...mine's ready to go, when u wanna film it? holla at ur boy.
....u should know who this is :-)

Anonymous said...

I dont see what the big deal is. My son is 12 and a half and he drives everywhere including the Dragon. Its a free country! Ride it like you stole it girl!!!

Anonymous said...

Hey I want in on some of that cart action. How big can I legaly run? Is a 10 horse Briggs over 50cc? Count me in!

Anonymous said...

depends on if it's an actual "kart" engine or just a lawnmower conversion...i've seen 50cc kart engines push 35 hp...mine's a kart engine, chain driven 125...can run alcohol..but gas is less damaging...bout 50-55 mph w/ current gearing...15-17 hp..but i mos def wanna get it on film...killboy...where u at??..i be where i be, so where u be? holla...:-)

Anonymous said...

p.s.....to add to my last note, i'm not goin for legality, i just wanna ride and have a good time, so bring on tha karts, get a few together and it'd be sweetness...they can't take us all to jail...haha :-)

Darryl Cannon aka "killboy" said...

I assume this is the guy that was contemplating buying Josh Hayes' kart? I know a couple of other guys with karts too, so I'm not sure. Email me. (killboy@killboy.com)

I would not bet on the TNHP to not try to take the whole damn world to jail. But that is just my 2 cents. But a plow blade on the cart and call it a farm tractor. That should be good. At least once anyway. ;-)

Darryl Cannon aka "killboy" said...

It should be noted that in TN, a vehicle of less than 50cc is not approved for the roadway. Fines begin at $230 for having what is not a legal motorvehicle on the road, and many other violations like insurace, registration, etc can be added to it. Just don't want someone thinking they are legal when they're not. ;)

I think he leaning more forward than to the right!

Yep, Beuford P Coletrane, what is it that you would like to get to the bottom of? I am sure that TNHP & the F.B.I would be interested in who you are also. Are you identifying yourself as law enforcement?
