Weekly Update - July 27, 2011

 As always, shots from the last nine years are up in Our Store here, and be sure to check out the recent additions to the area scenery/wall art selections. Below are some of the highlights from last week.

A little late this week, sorry.  We had to make a run to the emergency room last night when Lori tried to chop her left index finger off putting an exercise together.  She's ok now, a few stitches and some crushed bone fragments near the tip.  I've never seen her in so much pain though.

Traffic is getting pretty slow at times, all the heat I'm sure.  Saturday was still really busy though.  This weekend is the annual Miata rally, so y'all play nice out there.

On to the highlights!

I hope you don't mind…I know a lot of people liked the place, myself included, so I stopped by last week and my friend Tina Wesson who is employed there now took me on a tour. You can find more info at their website TapocoLodge.com

Covered bike parking now takes the place of the old tennis courts.

The rooms have been spiffed up as well of course.

Exposed overhead plumbing adds a nice touch.

They've got a couple of cool trolley buses also for taking people on excursions around the area.

…as are the wonderful views.

New tennis courts are up at the top of the grounds now.

Old post office boxes were preserved of course.

Out front there is now a "Slickrock Grille" dining area.

The grounds are beautiful.

You can also hang out inside if it's uncomfortable out.

Brick pizza oven behind bar there.

The Grille is open 11-4, seven days a week.

Moving on…the annual Katriders rally was last week.
