Weekly Update - October 28, 2009

As always, photos from the last six years are available in Our Store here. These are some of the highlights.

Getting a bit chilly now, and the leaves brought more cars out it seems. Big news is the "massive" rockslide on I-40 at the TN/NC border Sunday, which they are saying will take 3 months to clear. They're routing as much traffic as possible north of the slide, but we're already seeing some of it come down through the Gap...we saw about a 10 semis come through Monday.

This weekend's looking decent...highs in the 60s and not much rain. Hope those who do make it out have a good time and play nice with the other folks sharing the roads.

On to the highlights!

EOSB Halloween party went down last weekend...

Dinner, raffles, costume contest, big wheel racing, and minibike racing pictured below. Sorry we didn't get pics of the other activities...I only have one good hand right now, and it spent most of the night carrying my gangster gun. Lori was a gangster hottie and she looked stunning. We'll get a couple of friend's shots of our costumes online shortly. In the mean time, enjoy the pics!

The first lap melee never fails to entertain.

Race leader MG got tangled up in the wreckage.

MG made a push to regain his lead...

...leaving a trail of bruised bodies in his wake...

It was a fruitless effort though, as Mike aka "LightOut" would go on to take the win.

2nd race was the "big" minibikes...

Rob aka "GapJedi" quickly slotted into second place on my bike...

...but he had his work cut out to get by the lead bike. This is where years of endurance racing paid off.

Rob finally got a stronger drive out of the 180 turn and took the lead.

Rob kept riding hard, putting on a good show for the crowd.

No need to panic or freak out if you see one. Try to stay focused if you're driving, or enjoy the show if passenger.

Time to remind y'all about leaves covering intakes...

Bikes and cars, watch those temp gauges and check for build up after your runs, especially if you were following someome.

Paige from PJsParts.com got a new bike to replace her FZ1.
