Weekly Update - Feb. 25, 2009

We got some great photos last weekend, played a little, and hung out with a few friends on the Gap. I hope it makes up for the lack of update last week.

This weekend kicks off Daytona Bike Week, and we plan to be out there covering the passers-through. I believe the Deals Gap resort will be opening this weekend as well, so I guess the '09 season is upon us. Let's make it a fun and safe one!

Kayakers were out in force last Saturday...

...the Cheoah was flowing pretty heavy...although this was toward the end of the day, so the flow was dying down.

 

One of my favorite spectating locations is just across from Tapoco Lodge.

I believe it's called "Yard Sale", because it's so gnarly and a lot of people wipe out there.  There is a foot path just across from the entrance to the lodge. (a little to the left)  Careful on the way down, it's slick.
