FYI: She was running RADAR near the state line, or so she claimed. But she refused to show a military tourist the alleged speed, and sued a reckless driving ticket for "30 over". She said she could've arrested him if she wanted to.

What is it that makes people think the police are required to show people the radar reading? Radar constantly reads speeds, it doesn't automatically lock on the highest speed - you can manually lock it, but why bother?

Maybe because it's the only real form of proof that separates the crooked cops from the decent ones. Like a couple of weeks ago, when a TNHP officer pulled over a sportbike rider from Michigan and said that she caught him going 75mph coming out of a turn that even the fastest of locals couldn't touch 50mph in, tops. When he asked to see the radar reading, she said she never got a lock. Stuck him with a bogus reckless driving ticket.

It's crooked shit like that that makes it hard to argue against just running or turning around before they can stop you.

If the truth is told, I wonder how often it really happens that a cop issues a "bad ticket?" I've been a driving / riding enthusiast for many years and I've gotten one. Southern Virginia. He literally picked me out of a line of cars because I had an out of state plate.
