What is the point of skinny tires on wide rims? Are those factory rims and they put a really thin tire on to keep it from rubbing? Looks like shit.

For one thing, having the tread inside the bead means there's little to no lean on the sidewall so response is a lot quicker (I'm not so sure myself that that's worth having less tread width for your wheel size, but if that's what you like then have fun with it).

For another there's a slight chance there's a mild side force on this tire making it look like it's not the right width. :)
